There are five types of application software.  We will do laboratory asignments and projects on three of those.  They are:

1.    Word Processing.  We use Microsoft word.  Chapter 11 page 321
2.    Spread sheet.  We use Microsoft Excel.  Chapter 12 page 352
3.    Data base Management.  We use Microsoft Access.  Chapter 13 page 376

The other two are:

4.    Telecommunications.
5.    Computer Graphics.
These two are explained briefly in Chapter 2 page 2-43 and 2-44.  Business Graphics is also explained in the chapter on Excel. (Chapter 12) pages and in Chapter 5 pages 5-150 to 5-152.
