NEPTUNE

The Planet named after the God of the Seas appears blue like the Earth.  Neptune was discovered in 1846 by Johann G. Galle (1812 - 1910).  The physical makeup of Neptune is similar to Uranus, with Methane and Hydrogen in the atmosphere.  It has a great dark spot (similar to Jupiter), large wind systems, eight satellites, five rings, and thin layers of dust.
